Alphonse Mouzon was a jazz fusion drumming legend. He was an influence to many famed musicians such as Questlove of The Roots, and John Bonham of Led Zeppelin. In addition to touring and making about 20 albums as a solo artist, Alphonse was a founding member of Weather Report, and he recorded and toured with an extensive list of some of the biggest names in music. Alphonse passed on an impressive collection of vintage instruments and gear to his family, and they have decided to sell much of it through Astound Sound.

This euphonium was owned for many years by the legendary jazz musician Alphonse Mouzon and is now being sold from his estate. It is a beautiful instrument, and in very good condition. The pearl inlay on one of the valves is missing

This vintage German instrument is possibly over 100 years old, as the brand was only active until 1930. Philipp Reichel was the son of instrument maker August Reichel, and also trained under Emil Knoth, who was the founder of Rino, which later became Scherzer when his son's nephew took over. This is all info I found through reading at the following sites: https://www.horn-u-copia.net/Reference/display.php?thisrec=670
